Emergency Room Expansion Underway at Martin County Hospital District
Martin County Hospital District is beginning Phase 1 of an Emergency Room expansion in Stanton, TX this June. This project will allow the hospital to better serve the growing healthcare needs of the community and ensure patients continue to receive timely emergency care close to home.
During the first phase of construction, the Emergency Room will temporarily operate with three treatment rooms instead of the usual five. Emergency services will remain fully available, but patients may experience slightly longer wait times while construction is underway. Our medical team will continue to provide the same high level of emergency care patients expect from Martin County Hospital District.
Expanding Emergency Care in Stanton TX
Once the project is complete, the Emergency Room in Stanton TX will expand from five treatment rooms to eleven, significantly increasing the hospital’s ability to care for patients and improve patient flow.
The expansion will allow Martin County Hospital District to provide faster access to emergency services while continuing to deliver high-quality care to residents across the region. The additional treatment rooms will also give staff more space and resources to respond quickly to urgent and life-threatening medical situations.
Serving Patients Across West Texas
Martin County Hospital District provides emergency care for patients from Stanton, Big Spring, Midland, Garden City, and surrounding West Texas communities. Expanding the Emergency Room will help ensure patients have timely access to critical care when it matters most.
Emergency departments play a vital role in rural healthcare, often serving as the first point of care for serious injuries, sudden illness, and other urgent medical conditions. This expansion reflects Martin County Hospital District’s continued commitment to strengthening healthcare services for the communities we serve.
We appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as we work to improve and expand emergency services for the future.
