Ray Carreon Named February Employee of the Month
Martin County Hospital District is proud to recognize Ray Carreon as the February Employee of the Month for his attention to detail, vigilance, and dedication to patient care.
Ray was recognized for his quick response while caring for a surgical patient. During the patient’s care, he identified signs of an infected wound and acted promptly to make sure the concern was addressed.
His attention to the patient’s condition led to immediate treatment with IV antibiotics and wound care, helping prevent the infection from developing into a potentially life-threatening situation.
Recognizing When Something Isn’t Right
Some of the most important moments in patient care begin with simply paying attention.
While caring for a surgical patient, Ray noticed signs of an infected wound and recognized that the patient’s condition required immediate attention. His observation allowed the care team to respond quickly with appropriate treatment.
That vigilance made a meaningful difference for the patient and demonstrated the importance of remaining attentive to even subtle changes in a patient’s condition.
