Swing Bed care may be appropriate when you no longer require acute hospital treatment but still need skilled nursing, rehabilitation, wound care, medication management, or other continued support before returning home.

Length of stay is based on your individual needs, progress, and recovery goals. The average stay is approximately seven to ten days, but every patient’s care plan is different.

Medicare and many commercial insurance plans may cover Swing Bed services when eligibility requirements are met. Our team can help review your coverage before admission.

Family support is encouraged during recovery. Visitors should follow the hospital’s current visitation hours and safety guidelines.

Your care team will coordinate discharge planning, review medications and follow-up care, and help arrange any equipment or services needed for a safe transition home.
