Martin County Hospital District proudly recognizes Kristie Hernandez as the 2025 Manager of the Year for her leadership, organization, and commitment to keeping hospital operations running smoothly through a year of significant growth and change.
Some of the most important work in a hospital happens long before a patient enters a treatment room. As the leader of Central Supply, Kristie plays a critical role in making sure MCHD teams have the equipment and supplies they need to provide care every day.
Her leadership was especially important during two major initiatives: the launch of MCHD’s Mako robotic-assisted surgery program and the transition into Building 2. Through careful planning, organization, and proactive problem-solving, Kristie helped support both while continuing to meet the day-to-day needs of departments across the hospital.
Launching a new surgical program and transitioning into a new facility create countless operational needs behind the scenes.
Throughout these changes, Kristie helped ensure departments had the equipment and supplies they needed, when they needed them. Her ability to anticipate needs, stay organized, and solve problems before they became obstacles helped teams remain focused on their work while major changes were happening around them.
Central Supply may operate behind the scenes, but its impact reaches throughout the hospital. Having the right equipment and supplies available at the right time is essential to keeping departments functioning efficiently and supporting safe, high-quality patient care.
